Heading up the Umatilla River, the Bar M Ranch is located just 31 miles / 50 kilometers east of Pendleton, Oregon. Nestled in the foothills of the Blue Mountains, the sprawling 3,000 acre ranch is tucked away amid tall old growth pine and fir trees on the ranches hills, and cottonwood trees on the canyon floor right next to the Umatilla River. Let our laid-back western atmosphere change your pace of life. Horseback riding, natural hot springs pool and hot tub, spectacular scenery, recreational opportunities, and delicious home-style meals make the Bar M the perfect year-round ranch getaway.
The Bar M Ranch is a 3,000 acre dude ranch with a capacity of 50 guests. Our small size allows us to give each guest our personal attention as they ride horses, fish and participate in our activities. This personal attention sets us apart from other types of vacations. It is not uncommon for a guest to tell us that this was the best vacation they have ever had. It is our goal to make that the case for every guest, to provide a fun relaxing vacation in a peaceful, safe environment. Our friendly and professional staff are knowledgeable in the ranch history, horses and animal husbandry, wildlife, food preparation and ranch life in general. We are enthusiastic about sharing our western way of life and take great pride in maintaining the Bar M's high standards.
Our guests have complete flexibility in choosing their daily schedule – you can make it as action packed or as relaxed as you like. We offer a wide variety of activities available to our guests throughout their entire stay. Activities will vary based on weather and seasonal changes.

Self catering cottaes for families on our rare breeds farm on the shores of Lochcarron, 2 miles from Plockton. Visiting children can feed or pet the sheep, ponies, donkeys, llamas, goats, rabbits, owls etc whilst their parents enjoy the view from the balcony overlooking the loch. Pine martens often call for scraps in the evening and otters may be seen on the beach. A heron island may be accessed at low tide over the coral strand. We are 10 mins from the Skye bridge, an hour from the sandy beaches of Applecross and 5 mins from the railway station. Come and enjoy the animals, the scenery and the many excellent eating places in the locality or just stay on the farm and enjoy the peace and tranquility. |

and is open from March until October.
An additional family apartment nestled in the converted barn, offers room for two adults and
three children.
- All rooms come with a bath (WC & shower), and are equipped with telephone and satellite TV.
- Martinsmühle is a non-smoking establishment. We ask our smoking guests to honor this policy
and enjoy their cigarettes al fresco. It is recommendable to book rooms with balcony.
- Dogs are permitted per request.
- Check-in is after 2 pm on the arrival date.

Martha's Cottage is in a lovely location just a few minutes walk from the Iron Bridge.
Tastefully refurbished throughout in July 2005, the cottage offers all modern comforts in a traditional setting.
The cottage has private parking for two cars and the museums are within a two mile radius. A few minutes stroll through a maze of alleyways brings you to the town centre, the Iron Bridge, and the riverside.
The accommodation, which was completely refurbished in 2005, consists of an oak-beamed living/dining room and a kitchen on the ground floor, with one elegant double bedroom, one cosy twin bedded room and a bathroom above. |
