All our cottages are inspected each year by VISIT BRITAIN; Oak, Ash, Beech, Willow and Rowan have been awarded four stars, Holly, Elm and Chestnut three stars.
The cottages are individual but furnished in a similar style whilst retaining some of the original features of the old farm buildings; flint walls and old beams.
WiFi is accessible from all cottages.
Each living area has comfortable sofas, easy chairs and a selection of paperback books. There are colour televisions with freeview channels, DVD & video players, and stereos with a compact disc player, radio and tape deck. All have board games and jigsaw puzzles. Kitchens have electric cookers, microwaves, dishwashers (except Chestnut, Willow and Rowan) fridge freezers (except Willow which only has a fridge with a freezer compartment) coffee makers, and a comprehensive range of cooking and serving utensils. Also provided are cleaning materials including washing up liquid, tea towels and an oven glove.
Bathrooms have wash basins, toilets and full sized baths, all with showers over the baths. Bedrooms are furnished with comfortable beds, duvets and pine suites. Heating is provided by storage heaters, and most rooms have additional convector heaters for total control. The water is drawn from a bore hole, which is checked twice a year. You will also find an ironing board and iron in the cottage.
Outside is a fabulous play area with climbing frame, zip wire, trampoline, 5 - a - side goals, large slide, David Brown tractor, sand pit and swings. Inside there is a pool table, table tennis table; and badminton can be played in one of the barns
New for 2007: Beech, Elm and Ash family bathrooms refurbished
New for 2006: ensuite shower room in Ash Cottage and the bathrooms of Oak, Holly and Chestnut have been refurbished.
New for 2005: brand new kitchen in Beech Cottage and french windows from the lounge.
The following are included in the basic holiday charge:
• Bed Linen.
• Heating during low season October - May.
• Travel cots & high chairs (when available, we occasionally run out!)
• Electricity
Towels can be hired at £5.00 per person.
Well behaved dogs are welcome by prior arrangement only in all Cottages except Elm, and we ask that they do not go into bedrooms or onto furniture. Dogs are charged at £10 per dog per week, or £2 per dog per night.
Short breaks are available from October through to the end of April (except in school holidays).
